My planting design service starts with an initial meeting to discuss the space you would like transformed and how I can build on your ideas and vision to maximize your site’s potential.
I will then create a written brief for clarity on how we will move forward and jobs that will be undertaken. I will outline my fees for each stage of the process and then you can decide if you would like to commission a design. Once the design phase has begun I will organize a site survey which will include taking photographs, measurements, identifying existing plants on site and soil testing, to aid in the creation of a detailed design.
I will then create a bespoke planting design for your garden with visualizations, a planting list, layout map, a calendarized maintenance schedule and a seasonal garden story.
Once this is ready I will present the design to you. We can then discuss how much involvement you want me to have with implementation. I can then source plants and carry out the planting for you, or you can take over the gardening at this stage and dig in. If you would like to be involved in the planting stage but would prefer me to supply and lay out the plants in the appropriate areas this can be arranged as well. You may prefer to work to the plan yourselves over a period of time, as and when your budget allows.
Once the garden is installed you can work from your calendarized garden maintenance schedule or you can arrange for maintenance visits throughout the seasons to keep your garden in top shape.
